Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a Scag Cheetah having owned a Scag Wildcat for almost five years – this is my third Scag mower and my experience has been great so far. However, my new machine’s ride quality is really rough and although it cuts great, it’s difficult to sit comfortably for anything longer than 15 minutes. Is there anything I can do to improve the ride?

Hello Marsh,

If your mower’s not absorbing enough shock it could be sending these vibrations into the chassis vital engine components. Inspect your tires and make sure that all of them have been filled up to the recommended level. Scag cheetahs have a suspension seat with two speed hydrostatic drive units – try adjusting the seat to a higher level. If your mower is still riding hard, maybe you’ll need to get your shock absorbers looked at by an authorized dealer.
